Hi I am Joanne, Liam's mum.
Firstly I would like to say sorry for not writting something sooner. To be honest websites, emails and all that are pretty new to me and I had to get the guys from Flexyweb to come and show me how to do this. Thankyou Flexyweb so much for the website and your patience with me.
We have been in Closer magazine a couple of times and are in the process of making a BBC documentary. Liam has been in The Evening Post (our local paper) a couple of times, they wrote a lovely article about him and featured him on the front page. This publicity has made our lives a little easier as people will come up to us and ask, "is that Liam from the paper?" and"how is he doing?" were as before we had a lot of pointing, coments behind our backs and," what is wrong with him?"
Liam has now turned three. We had a lovely party, some of which was in Closer and will be shown in the documentary. We brought him a bike which needs a few alterations but is such a find for his size. He is getting too grown up to be in a buggie but can not walk for very long. One step for us is three or four for him.
He has also started school. (Well nursery, in the afternoons) The school is really supportive, they let him visit a few times so he would know what to expect. They have to get in special chairs and three different types of step and Liam has a worker to help him and make sure he is not knocked over outside. Her name is Jane and Liam loves her.
I have to say though he only started four weeks ago and he is off sick for the second time already. It is frustrating and it is horrible to see him ill put that is how things can be.
Thankyou to all the people that have given us support.
